Task Description
What I’m looking for is 2 new websites (1 for the Australian side and 1 for the Malaysian side) these websites will be similar to show a link(kind of umbrella) between the 2 so people are aware that the Australian company is an arm of the manufacturer not a trader. By doing this I hope to show visitors we are 1 larger company, not 2 smaller separate ones. In the websites I want to be able to display a product list and have the ability to add to it (not ecommerce though) as well I want to have a mirrored blog for both site (so I only have to write in one place). The website will also act as a company portfolio to save printing them out.
As a brief background site1: is Vinco Engineering Sdn Bhd, this is an engineering company & foundry that does sub contract casting work. The engineering side does tools and moulds to support the foundry and also manufactures mining products.
Site2: is Drillforge Pty Ltd, this is an Australian warehouse and distribution company that also sells it’s own line of flow control products (muff couplings, strainers, etc..) It also distributes castings and mining products as well as we cater for companies in Australia that cannot warrant to buy full container loads of castings. There is another company, Megastra, but in time this will taken over by Vinco engineering so not a lot of point showing that one.
As well, I may look at redoing the logo’s, whilst I want them to be different I, like with the websites want them to be similar enough to display a link between the 2. I’ll also need business card (maybe 2 sided, one for the Australian company and one for the Malaysian one perhaps). I’ll also need some smaller brochure type layouts for magazine advertisement (will talk more about that later)
To be honest I have not seen anything that really gets me going at the moment but I am a fan of the vector style graphics. I’m also not looking for a cookie cutter website, something not looking like it a portal with new wallpaper if you get my meaning.
Timeframe wise I’d say 3-6 months.
Specific features (apart from good seo) I’d like are a well-integrated product listing with title blocks, blog which is automatically mirrored between 2 sites & good contact forms. Photography will also be needed for the product listing (we don’t have much at the moment) we would need to know the method of photography so we can add further listings ourselves later on (don’t make it too hard ;) ) From there is just the basic company info and etc…
